Search has worked in Uzbekistan since 2015, with registration and an office in Tashkent from 2022. Our programming focuses on empowering women and youth, promoting inclusive governance, facilitating regional integration, and improving support for labor migrants and returnees.
Team SummaryThe Program Implementation team has oversight for the implementation of Search’s programs and projects in its country offices, in accordance with Search and donor policies and procedures. The Program Implementation team works on the full life-cycle of the project, from the start-up phase to the full close-out. This involves designing work plans, implementing activities, reporting, financial management, and staffing management. - Provide overall technical and administrative leadership and expertise for the project
- Overall management and implementation of the project and serve as the primary liaison with the USAID Uzbekistan on management and technical matters
- Liaise closely with Search’s Country Director for Uzbekistan, Asia Regional Director and Brussels and Washington DC teams to ensure that all project activities are compliant with USAID rules and regulations, as well as consistent with Search’s policies, procedures and best practices
- Articulate Search/function program/project goals and objectives within and external to Search
- Provide functional and program/project management
- Ensure that program meets programmatic and financial targets and makes accurate projections
- Develop program objectives that reflect broader Search strategies and approaches
- Ensure that the project meets stated goals, outcomes, benchmarks, and reporting requirements
- Promote the use of recognized evidence-based tools and promising innovations for strengthening the project outcomes focused around CSO and Media
- Manage and coordinate the implementation of activities across project partners, ensuring successful integration of activities
- Oversee a highly adaptive, politically-informed approach to program management which ensures continuous learning and contextually-aware interventions
- Oversee project planning (e.g., develop work plans and project budget), monitoring and reporting (e.g., review and approve periodic budgets and technical and financial reports) in accordance with the highest standards
- Oversee project budget and work in close coordination with the Search Finance Unit to meet expected results, ensuring cost-effective use of donor and Search’s resources
- Provide strategic management and oversight of the project’s subaward portfolio
- Provide guidance to direct reports or matrixed team members
- Work with employees to set and communicate performance standards that are specific and measurable
- Provide coaching and mentoring to staff
- Oversee project staff in helping partners establish reporting and tracking systems to provide key information in an efficient and timely manner
